CLASSES

The Little Eagles 

​

Ages  4 years to 6 years. 

 

Monday 5.00pm - 5.45pm   Wednesday 5.00pm - 5.45pm 

 

In this class students starts to build a solid foundation of skills for example balance, co-ordination in a fun based way for when they progress to the formal juniors class when they reach the age of 6.

​

Though not a formal karate class students are awarded regular attendance and effort certificates and belts.

​

There is NO charges for this.

​

This is `"More than kicking and punching."

​

Cost £5 per session. Annual Licence Cobra Membership £25(required after 4th lesson)

​

 

Grade belts and colours 

Red Eagle, Yellow Eagle, Orange Eagle, Green Eagle, Blue Eagle, Purple Belt, Brown 1, Brown 2, Brown 3, Black Eagle

Junior Class

 

Ages 6 plus years - 10 years plus 

 

Monday 6.00pm - 7.00pm   Tuesday 6.00pm - 6.45pm  Wednesday 6.00pm - 7.00pm

In this class students continue to follow the karate syllabus that has been developed over many years, taking the student from a beginner to a black belt.

​

Focus is on developing true karate technique, building confidence in the student and teaching respect for themsleves and others.

Qualities I am sure you will agree, they can utilise in all aspects of their life.

​

Grading Red Belt 9th Kyu, Yellow Belt 8th Kyu, Orange Belt 7th Kyu. Green Belt 6th Kyu, Blue belt 5th Kyu, Purple 4th Kyu, Brown 1st tab 3rd Kyu, Brown 2 tab 2nd Kyu, Brown 3 tab 1st kyu, Black 1st Dan and so on.

Cost £5 per session. Cobra Annual Licence Fee £25. Grading £20 per belt except for Dan Gradings.

Gradings held at at the club usually every 3 months (Saturday mornings) dates published in advance. Attendance is invite only.

Senior Class

 

Ages 11 years to adult (additionally students of a younger age that hold a senior grade)

 

Monday 7.15pm - 8.15pm Tuesday 7pm - 8pm Wednesday 7.15pm -8.15pm

In these classes students continue to follow the structered syllabus like the juniors but with greater content than that of the juniors.

In these classes with the maturer student, the technique is now turned into developing power through fine tuning of each aspect.

​

Empahsis still remains on developing respect, confidence and self esteem.

​

As with the juniors gradings are held regularly at the club with a minimum lesson number required between each grade as well as having demonstarted an ablity to perfom the technique within the class enviroment.

This is rewarded by a formal invitation to grade by the senior instructors.

 

The belt structure is the same as that of the juniors. Cost as juniors except for dan grades.
